Does this fixture use a standard light bulb? Will it accept a standard screw base fluorescent bulb?

The Maxim MX 92011 uses a standard medium bases 100 watt max incandescent bulb. You can use a medium base compact flourescent bulb of the same equivalent wattage.

I have tan fixtures in the room and would like to stay with that theme. Can you spray paint the light to match room?

The Maxim MX 92011 may be painted if you so choose but it will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Is the bulb recessed? And can it just be screwed in or would I have to remove a cover first before screwing in the bulb?

The lights are recessed and they just screw directly in.

WILL THIS FIXTURE ACCOMODATE A PAR 40 COMPACT FLUORESCENT BULB?

The Maxim MX 92011 uses an incandescent bulb but can take up to 100W so as long as the CFL does not go over 100W it should be ok to use in place of the incandescent bulbs.

I have a 6 inch overhang, including drain spout. Is this enough protection with the rating of "Dry"?

The Maxim MX 92011 is neither rated, nor recommended, for outdoor use, regardless of overhang.

I am deciding between the Maxim 2 light flood lights and a standard 2 light flood lights, but am concern that the Maxim will not cover a large enough area. Can you compare the coverage?

Maxim unfortunately does not give a very specific area of coverage, but based on similar lights using 100w bulbs I would say you are looking at good light for an area about 25 feet out and 45 feet across.

I want to use 60w halogen flood light bulbs. Went to the hardware store and bulbs are not specified as medium base. Give me the spec. for the bulb I want; e.g., par ? 60 w, flood.

The Maxim MX 92011 can use up to a 100 watt bulb. Thanks for your question and have a great day.

Is this fixture ok to mount on an outside wall totally exposed to the elements (no overhang)? Thanks.

The Maxim MX 92011 is UL rated dry which means that it should not be up outside totally exposed.

I want to use 60 watts halogen flood lights. What is the spec. for the bulbs?

The Maxim MX 92011 is compatible with bulbs up to 100 watts. Thanks for your question and have a great day.

The maximum wattage listed is 100 watts, is that for each bulb?

The Maxim MX 92011 would use two bulbs rated at 50 watts each. This fixture can not handle more than 100 watts in total.

Why don't we show the price?

Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.

To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.

Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
