Great sconce lights! These lights arrived quickly after ordering online. They installed easily and really make the room look great! I searched at the local hardware and lighting stores but couldn't find anything that would compliment our decor. These lights have already received multiple compliments from visitors. A. The Minka Lavery ML 1974-1 is only UL listed for indoor locations. Use in an outdoor setting is not recommended as it is unsafe and will void the warranty for the item

Does this sconce have a switch? do you carry ones that do?

A. The Minka Lavery ML 1974-1 is hardwired. If you want a plug in, look for a view of the cord running down the wall. I will also say it is a plug in on the product description if it is a plug in.

Where exactly is electrical hook-up in the back? Is it in the center? My junction box may be too close to the ceiling.

A. The Minka Lavery ML 1974-1 j-box is 4 1/2" from the top and 4 5/8" from the bottom in the back of the fixture.

I have 4 inch round electrical boxes roughed into the wall for sconces. Can these lights mount to and cover that type of box?

A. The backplate measures 5.25"w x 8.5"h

Do these lights provide enough light in a bathroom (sconces with a mirror in the middle)?

A. The Minka Lavery ML 1974-1 is designed as an accent light so it provides light in an upward and downward direction. It uses a 60W Candelabra bulb. It should be enough depending on how much light you need and how big the bathroom is.

Does this fixture have a CU rating? I am concerned about the shade and whether it masks too much light for a hallway (using 2 fixtures).

A. The Minka Lavery ML 1974-1 does not have a CU rating. Two of these fixtures should produce plenty of light for your hallway. Each fixture is for 60W bulbs and they are suggested sconces for a hallway.
