Love this light
I searched the web and came across Lighting Direct. Free shipping and great product. I love this light. I was looking for something that you couldn't find in every store. It's so well made and looks beautiful. My husband put it up and said how nice it is too. Thanks Lighting Direct. I'll be back.

Coming back to get it again for master bath!
We got two 3-bulb fixtures in this model for a guest bath last summer. We waffled and considered several other similar products at 1/2 the price, but kept coming back to this Minka Lavery because it just had a combination of elegant lines that we never saw in the cheaper light fixtures. They look AWESOME...so good that we are doing them in the master bath, now, too. The glass is really beautiful and softly diffuses the light.

Very Nice
We purchased this fixture for our remodeled bathroom. It's well made and puts out a lot of light! Very clean lines. Definitely a "keeper".

The Minka Lavery ML 5584 has a rod that extends beyond the shades by about 4.5". Thank you for your question.

The globes measure 4 7/8"w x 4 5/8"h
Does this light come in 5 or 6 light version?
The Minka Lavery ML 5584 is not available in a 5 or 6 light version currently. The ML 5584 would be the largest fixture in the series.
For a 58" mirror, will the ML 5584 with four lights be enough? And a 36" mirror / 3 lights?
The Minka Lavery ML 5584 should provide adequate lighting over a mirror that large if you go with the max wattage (100w) & the same would apply to the smaller 36" mirror & 3 lights. If you prefer a lower wattage, more subtle light then I would recommend going for the next larger size.

Would the 4 lights be enough centered over a 72" mirror?
Honestly a 33.5" fixture might be a bit small for a 72" mirror. However 4 100W bulbs will provide a lot of light for a typical sized bathroom.
Can a dimmer switch be used with this light fixture?
The Minka Lavery ML 5584 uses standard medium base bulbs, so using a dimmer should be no problem. Make sure the dimmer you use is properly sized for the total wattage of the fixture.
Can you tell if the open end of the globes are even with the back plate? ie do they extend lower/higher (depending on up or down positioning) than th eplate edge?
The Minka Lavery ML 5584 globes are slightly higher than the back plate.
