MetronomeI installed this fan several months ago and it was extremely well balanced straight from the factory. There was no discernable wobble, but after a few hours of use, the fan would make a slight clicking sound. If you stopped the fan and let it sit for a few more hours, the clicking sound would be gone when you turned the fan back on. At no point did any oscillation or wobble begin or disappear. Over time, the volume level of the clicking noise would increase and the time it took to begin after starting the fan would decrease.
Eventually, I pulled the fan off the ceiling hoping to find a small foreign object inside it, but no such luck. There is a faint grinding noise within the bearings but it is so imperceptible as to be only noticeable when specifically listening for it in a silent room.
The wiring inside (at the top) is well designed and should not be able to fall into a moving pathway. Additionally, I pulled all of that tight at the ceiling, and have already cut off all excess in order to avoid this issue in the first place. I can't see how our problems exist outside of the fan bearings.
