3 Blade 58" Ceiling Fan - Light, Wall Control and Blades Included 4.8 5 5 5
fantastic fan this is a beautiful fan. no store in town had the polymer blades on store models. we were not sure what it would look like. since Lighting Direct allowed for returns with no restocking fee we felt more comfortable. As it turns out they were beautiful. Also, we wanted a wireless remote, which was available for this model October 15, 2010
Fabulous Fan A modern clean design goes hand in hand with the great functionality. My clear acrylic fan is almost invisible while its cooling our family room area. It also has the reversible air control which is helpful during winter times by blowing the hot air near the ceiling towards the floor area. I love this fan and so have many people who have seen it at my house and gotten their own. October 4, 2010
MinkaAire Artemis This is the 3rd Artemis fan that I have purchased, so that in itself should say a lot. It's extremely stylish and moves a lot of air. I can't say enough good things about this ceiling fan. Helpful Tips: There are no flaws in this complete package, but installation takes time. Please read the instructions carefully. The remote control module needs to be slipped into the very top of portion of the fan hanger! Use caution not to pinch any of the wires, wire nuts, or the antenna! The shortest 3 inch spacer leavesonly an 1 1/2in of space to work. I strongly suggest that you use the 6 inch down rod. Not only does it allow additional clearance to manipulate all the hardware and cover plates, but it provides some much needed air space between the fan blades and the ceiling. Without this short gap, the fan will be unable to capture enough fresh air to be forced downward. August 30, 2010
MinkaAire Artemis Fan review The Pros: The look of the fan can't be beat. Very cool blade design. I have the light kit (halogen) version. It seems very powerful but also very quiet. The Cons: no remote control---it only has a wall control. If used in a bedroom, you'd have to get out of bed to adjust the light/fan. For such an expensive fan, you'd think it would have a remote. The wall control is easy to understand, but not particularly ergonomic. The little control buttons are so small you have to make a concerted effort to find the right spot to push. (Get your glasses). There is a teeny tiny switch on the bottom of the control that you can push off/on, but you have to really push it with your finger nail to get it to move (after you find it). If you are used to big/easy switches you can slap on/off, this isn't it. The light kit isn't super bright since it only has one tiny halogen, so your room will need more lighting. Bottom line--this fan looks great and seems to have a good quality motor. The wall control is a little tricky, but i think it's worth it for the design. December 21, 2009
Stupendous fan! This fan blew me away! It looks stunning in our living room and really matches our new modern look. Great experience with Lighting Direct, would definitely shop again!! Ask for Mikey if you call in, he was very friendly :) August 18, 2009
