Great fan/light combination
My daughter picked this fan in white for her bedroom. The light is nice and bright, is dimmable, and both fan and light work well with the wall mount and remote. The fan runs smoothly and quietly and circulates the air nicely even on the lowest setting. Well made and looks classy.

Buyer Beware
Beware--the Minka Group's customer support is terrible. When the fan breaks, as ours did, the employees will refuse to help you. The Lifetime Warranty apparently only applies to the dealers.

Fantastic fan!
I love this fan. Its appearance is beautiful - very elegant and sleek. The lighting is stronger than many fans with a dome light, and the fan itself works great. Most fans can't be used on low because there's not enough speed, but this one does the job. It's perfect!

Oh No Resto
This is a great fan. We saw what we thought was a similar fan in the Restoration Hardware catalog. Turns out it's the exact same fan, only $100 less at LightingDirect. Shipping was very reasonably priced and very fast. I've used other IDNetwork stores and have always been very pleased with selection, service and price. Highly recommended product and highly recommended internet retailer!

Can this fan be installed without the light? Does it require another part to do this?
Unfortunately it cannot be installed without the light.
How do I change the light bulbs?
The MinkaAire Como light bulb can be changed by removing the glass shade. The glass shade simply twists on and off for easy removal.
How far down from the ceiling does this fixture hang with the 3.5 inch rod?
The MinkaAire Como hangs down 13 1/2" when using the 3 1/2" down rod.
My present (broken) fan (attached to a cross beam on a cathedral ceiling) is on a rod that is about 18 inches long. Is that available for this fan?

The light and fan controls require two separate switches?
The MinkaAire Como only requires one control. You may use the wall control (wc212) or the remote control (rc212) or both.
We are unable to remove the globe in order to replace the light bulbs. The glass globe is on tight and my electrician has not been able to release it. We had the same problem with the second Minka Aire fan which I have. We ended up breaking wires and having to get a new remote. Please advise. 54" ceiling fan; 54MK8
The MinkaAire Como is supposed to be turned counter clockwise to remove. In the instructions it says not to overtighten, and the globe should not be connected to any wires so i might not be understanding why they broke the first time. Please e-mail me more information and I will check with the manufacturer in the morning when they open. Thank You.

The MinkaAire Como is able to be ran as a 3-way, allowing two (2) wall controls.

The MinkaAire Como includes a integrated halogen light, the light takes 2 75w bulbs, you never want to go above the recommended wattage. The mini can halogen lights can not be swapped out for cfl bulbs. Let me know if you need anything else.

The MinkaAire Como does not come with a non-lighting option.
