good as a Hunter we bought this flushmount lighted ceiling fan for the bedroom.It is the perfect size for medium sized room.Installation was a breeze partley because the remote receiver comes factory installed. Fan blades install without hardware by push fit.The fan is whisper quiet with no wobble. Nickle finish is very stylish. Unit comes with remote control witch also has light dimmer.The light is 100 watt halogen and while being adequit could be brighter.Overall am very pleased with this purchase October 9, 2011

Small kitchen I have a small kitchen and I love the fan/light. At first it appears big because it is thick at the base. I wish the electric remote control option was standard, and not another purchase. Instead I mounted the battery remote holder included to the wall and it is fine September 5, 2011

Beautiful, easy install I have installed numerous lighting fixtures, including a chandelier, by myself (not easy!) while hubby at work. I am 40+ year old woman. This is the easiest thing I have ever installed. The remote control feature is excellent. I wanted a lighted fixture that was close to the ceiling and this fits the bill perfectly. Better then I expected. I got this fan to replace a light fixture in my laundry room. It did the job better then I expected! It hugs the ceiling and there is no shaking when it's on full speed. What color is the light on the oil rubbed bronze fan?

The color of the glass on the MinkaAire Concept II 44 in the Oil Rubbed Bronze is white, even though the picture shows it finished over as well as the rest of the fan.

All information on every website I checked about the his fan says it has a 10.5" drop from ceiling with or WITHOUT the light kit. However, below you indicted that it is about 15 inches total with the light kit installed. Looking at the design of the fan, that doesn't make sense. Can you clarify whether it is a 10.5 foot drop from the ceiling with the light kit installed? Thanks.

You have to have separate controllers for each fan. The MinkaAire Concept II 44 has the RC212 control.

Yes, the MinkaAire Concept II 44 can be hung on a sloped ceiling.

This fan is not designed for use in wet locations. Bathrooms, due to the steam, are considered a wet location. An outdoor ceiling fan would be an acceptable option in a bathroom as they are approved for use in wet/damp locations.

The MinkaAire Concept II 44 includes all items needed for installation.

Is this an outdoor fan?

The MinkaAire Concept II 44 is UL listed as indoor dry location and would not be appropriate for outdoor use.

The specs say that the fan measures 10.5" from the ceiling, so the blades must be closer to the ceiling than that. I need an EXACT measurement for how far the blades drop because I have only 8 inches to work with.

From the top to the very bottom of the glass is 11". From the top to bottom of the blades is 10.5".

What is meant by blade span? 44" per blade or total width of fan?

The MinkaAire Concept II 44 blades measure 19" and the total span from one end to the other is 44".

What is the maximum watt bulb I can use?

I bought this fan and the wall control in the spring - love it! But a few days ago it stopped working- not even the power light is on, although the wiring in the wall is live. What might be wrong?

If your control is not working it could be a couple of reasons. It is either a bad control, or a electrical issue, or even can be a bad fan motor. You will want to contact Minka at 1 (951) 735-9220 and ask for their technical department. They can help assist you to troubleshoot to find the root of the problem.

I see that the full height is 10.25, what is the meaurement from the ceiling to the blades?

The height from the ceiling to the top of the blades is 10 1/2". THe over all height is 11 11/2 which is from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan.

Is it possible to get a similar model with a brighter light? According to the reviews the covered light gives off the equivalent of 60w bulb.

How do I change light bulb?

The MinkaAire Concept II 44 shade is a twist on shade. By placing your hands on the glass after the light is off you do a 1/4 twist counter clockwise and the shade will release from the housing After which it is a standard threaded bulb inside.

How do I program 3 fans in the same room to do not turn on/off all at the same time?

The MinkaAire Concept II 44 (and all other Minka fans that have light kits) must work on separate remotes. These fans are self-learning and will simply have to be trained to their separate remotes at the time of installation.

I need a new remote and a transmitter for inside of the fan, do you sell accessories?

There is conflicting information on the info here about the overall height for this flush mounted fan. I have a low ceiling area in which I cannot have the figure drop lower than 10.5 inches so it is important that I know the correct size. Can you give me the exact measures from the top of the fixture to the bottom of it with or without the light, then from the top to the bottom of the blades (which most fans give you ceiling to blades measurement and this one does not)

The MinkaAire Concept II 44 measures 10.5" in height either with or without the light kit. Unfortunately Minka Aire does not provide the measurement for the blades themselves, however once could assume each would measure approximately 14" (44" diameter/2 minus 8" for width of light kit).
