5 Blade 42" Ceiling Fan - Blades Included 4.3 5 2 3

Good as Hunter....so far This is an excellent 5 blade smaller diameter fan, which is difficult to find. Most 5 blade fans are the larger diameter. It was easy to install, is quiet, and did not require any balancing. This was a replacement fan for one that was purchsed in 1997 installed in a smaller bedroom. The original fan had a light kit, and this fan is adaptable to a light kit. However, my light kit has screws to hold it to the fan and this fan does not have anywhere to attach this light kit to. My origina fan was a Century. Basically the light kit and this fan are not physically compatible so the light kit is being held to the fan with twine. So far it works, until i find something better to secure the light kit to the fan. I suggest inquiring about how light kits are attached to the fan so you can avoid this issue. May 14, 2011

Good Quality Fan Lighting Direct was a great place to purchase these fans. I bought 2 for 2 guest bedrooms and they work great. I only wish that I had bought this model with a light. It is a quality product - effective, quiet as a whisper. September 23, 2010

Can this fan be installed on a slope ceiling?

You may need to get a slope ceiling adapter, which is sold separately, to hang the MinkaAire Contractor 42 at a slope. The part is A245.

Can you reverse with this fan?

The MinkaAire Contractor 42 has a reverse button on the fan.

What height is the fixture inclusive of the 4" down rod and without adding a light fixture?

Including the 4" downrod this item measures 11 5/8"h

Do you have this version in 36" size?

The MinkaAire Contractor does not come in a 36" version.

How many speeds are on this fan?

The MinkaAire Contractor 42 has three speeds.

What wall switch do you recommend for the Minkaaire contractor 42?

The MinkaAire Contractor 42 would require the RC223 remote and receiver and the WC223 wall control.

What wall switch and controller do I need to operate this MinkaAire F546-WH fan from a 3 wire hardwire wall switch?

The MikaAire Contractor can be used with the MA WC106 for a three wire install.

Is this a flush mount fan?

The MinkaAire Contractor 42 needs to be installed with the down rods.
