pretty good fan
This fan is pretty good. From the review I expected it to be silent, but there is a slight humming noise when it is on. Just a little louder then our other fans.

The MinkaAire Mesa 42 will not accept a downrod as it is a flushmount only fan and it does not have a provision for a downrod.
