Reminiscent of the Craftsman style lighting often found along shoreline walkways, the Rainman, as the name suggest, is an excellent choice for exterior as well as interior use.

Measurements from the ceiling with a 3.5" Downrod to the bottom of the fan blades is 14"
Measurements from the ceiling with a 3.5" Downrod to the bottom of the light kit is 24"

Perfect Installed this beauty in the mancave- Looks great with the industrial themed globe cage- (got the bronze finish) and runs totally silently, thus not interfering with the mancave games. Dimmable down to almost nightlite and bright enough for power tool lighting. And when I turn it on, it rains. when I turn it off, the rain stops. Thanks Rainman! September 8, 2011

Looks great Looks great but I have to say it doesn't move as much air around as I would have liked. I wish the blade pitch was greater since it is outdoors and needs to be a strong fan. But it does look good and fit in with the rest of our decor. July 8, 2011

Lighting Direct Lives Up to their Word An excellent experience throughout the entire process. From the tons of pre-sale questions to the receipt of the fan to the installation, we are impressed. Great Outdoor Fan We purchased three of these fans for our outdoor spaces. One for screened-in porch and two for outdoor pavilion. They are sturdy, quiet and beautiful. Beautiful Fan - beware of RC211 remote I bought this fan in April for my screened porch. It's worth the money. Nothing at Lowes or Home Depot comes close. Beware of the Direct Lighting accessory recommendation. The RC211 is the wrong remote according to MinkaAire. I couldn't get it to work. After struggling with it, I contacted the company they said the RC212 is the proper one. The wall switch for the Rainman has 8 dip switches. The RC211 only has 4. July 8, 2009

A. The MinkaAire Rainman will be stable with a 60" down rod. This item is UL approved but not sure about CSA. Canadian standards may be more stringent than those in the US.

A. The MinkaAire Rainman is listed as being UL listed for damp locations and is suggested to be used for outdoor use.

A. The MinkaAire Rainman has a blade pitch of 14 degrees, and 5470 CFM airflow on the highest speed setting.

A. The MinkaAire Rainman uses the same wiring, yes. That would be fine.

A. The MinkaAire Rainman comes with a WC212 wall control which is a full function control and does have a light dimmer. It requires three electrical leads, one for power, neutral and the light.
