Just what I needed I had four lavatory copper sinks that did not work with the standard drain and stopper. The distance between the drain and the stopper pull on the faucet was to far for the standard pull to work properly. However, the pop-up drain works perfectly in the sinks. April 20, 2011

Moan pop uo drain We needed a pop up drain for a remodeled vanity and this product really fit the need. My only issue issue is the slower then expected drain time caused by the narrow opening on the top of the drain. It would not however prevent me from purchasing another if needed. November 30, 2009

Does this have to be used with a vessel sink?

No, the Moen 140780 does not have to be used with a vessel sink, however it does require to be used with a sink that is not equipped with an overflow drain.

Is the down pipe brushed nickel also? (it will be exposed for my install)

Only the exposed sections will come in the matching finishes.

what is the size of this drain, diameter ?

The Moen 140780 has a diameter of 2-1/4".

Is this drain assembly compatable with the Decolav 1423 vessel sink?

The Moen 140780 is too large. You would need the DecoLav 9298.

will this drain work for the bath tub?

No, the Moen 140780 is meant for bathroom sinks, not bathtubs. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I need to replace the drain assembly but mine is polished brass. Is that still available ??
