Things you loose and wish you had extras for I bought this as a spare just because one of the things my old sink had was a worn out one of these that I could not find a replacement for since it was an odd size. I could find plastic ones which always broke or didn't seal right. This one is a matching steel one like the one that came with the basket strainer assembly that you need for the sink drain. I may never need it but it didn't cost that much so I am glad to have it handy for a few years down the road. December 19, 2009

Quality Item It's a Quality Item, but unfortunately the wrong item for my sink. Not worth returning. It would function satisfactorily as strainer, but not a stopper in my sink. January 26, 2009

Is this solid stainless or is there a rubber stopper

The Moen 22194 is stainless but has the rubber stopper gasket as well.

I like to use this strainer for industrial application. Could you provide dimensions?
