solderingYou can easily remove the two valves and the center cartridge and solder ("sweat") the copper connectors to it, without damaging the plastic parts.Recommend using yellow MAP gas instead of propane because it's hotter.

very good purchasei'm glad i spent the little extra and got the valve with the water stops, the only thing i would change in the direction's is to remove the cartridge's before soldering,to prevent damaging them, other than that, it was easy to install.

Can this valve be used with the T2529 Monticello collection? The face plate (eustachean) and collar does not fit over the 2570 valve at all. The plumbing supply store states that it is supposed to.
A. The Moen 2570 is a pressure balanced valve and will not for the Moen T2529. The Moen T2529 requires the use of a non pressure balanced valve.
Can you limit water pressure with the stops?
A. The stops on the Moen 2570 are not intended to limit pressure.
can water supply be locally shut off at stops of valve 2570 to replace cartridge?
A. The Moen 2570 does have stops to turn the water off at the valve so you can replace the cartridge.
Do you have this valve with volume control?
A. Rather than the Posi-Temp system. You want to consider a trim that uses the Moentrol 3510 or 3570 valves. Feel free to give our sales team a call for a full design consultation.
Is this valve assembly threaded or does it need to be soldered?
A. The Moen 2570 is a copper to copper connection that would need to be soldered. Moen does make other valves that are threaded connections.
