great deal This is a great set for the price. It arrived in perfect working condition approximately 1 week after I ordered it. You can't come close to a set like this for less than $500. All the other comparable sets are at least $500 without the trim. I wish the trim came in a few other finishes but for the price I settled for the polished chrome. I may investigate changing the trim in the future. Also, as my contractor told me ahead of time that I wouldn't be able use both shower heads at the same time. he was correct. I was hoping to be able to use both shower heads at the same time but the isn't high enough. May 26, 2011

outstanding I bought this product when I remodeled our bathroom. I wanted something that would operate at least two different items ( shower head & hand held). This product operates three functions so I put a rain shower head in the ceiling. This is a great product and it was shipped the next day. I first ordered the the wrong item but the customer service people were great in stopping the wrong item and shipping the correct. November 14, 2010

Just what we wanted! I'm glad we had this double-handle spa shower faucet installed by licensed plumbers. It comes with LOTS of directions and it required some welding. Now that it's in place and I've been able to use it, I am extremely pleased with our choice. The main shower head has lots of water power, and the spray handle makes cleaning and rinsing the shower easy. I'm so glad we decided to update this space. August 28, 2010

Good Value Had this unit installed in our master bath. Been only using it for 2 days so far but it is great looking and has good water pressure. The controls are easy to use. If you don't want all the body sprays, etc. this unit gives you a good shower head and hand held system at a really good price. Hundreds less than anything else we could find. August 16, 2010

Two kit in one Moen combine two faucets system together to make up this combination. One is the traditional single handle faucet to control the hot and cold water for shower or tub (there is no spout included for the tub it gets capped off). Second kit is the hand shower kit with three position controls for the shower selection, hand shower, stationary shower head and the third is cap off or use for other accessories. The instruction is a bit vague because of the individual instruction for each kit. In this kit I have an extra piece that I have no clue to it purpose. This kit is over kill for a simple shower system. The two capped off water channel can be used for other purposes; such as tub faucet, extra shower heads and so on. Even with these quarks, I find the quality of the faucets excellent in quality and build. July 10, 2010

If I want to use the third outlet to connect to a tub filler spout, which ones are compatible?

A. Thank you for your question. The Moen 3804 would be an appropriate non-diverter tub spout to add to your system. The diverter that is part of this system already is a three function, so all you would have to do is connect the tub spout to the third outlet.

Does this system include BOTH shower heads?

A. Yes, the Moen 8342 comes with both the stationary showerhead as well as the hand shower.

If I decide to change the shower head in the future, one that has multiple flow selections, is that possible to do and which shower head models would you recommend?

A. The Moen 8342 has a standard 1/2" connection to the shower arm. This means that you will be able to install any multi-function shower head that you would like later down the line.

A. Yes, they are compatible as they both have a 1/2" connection.

A. Any Moen showerhead would work as a replacement.

A. The Moen 8342 has a pressure balanced control for on/off and temperature regulation. It also has the three function transfer valve to switch between the wall mount shower and the hand shower.

A. The Moen 8342 uses the 8349 hand-shower head, which has only a single spray pattern.

Can I use other trims with the Moen diverter valve and shower valve included in this system?

A. The Moen valves are not compatible with any other manufacturer's trim pieces. If you want a different trim piece, choose the one you like and we can help you find the correct valve.

A. The Moen 8342 is a combo unit. It will detach from the bar. The bar is metal and attaches to the wall with the wall brackets and hardware.

Are any of the exterior parts plastic (e.g., flanges, drop ell, clamps, wall brackets)?

A. The Moen 8342 will have both metal and plastic parts, if you want a full metal brand check out Phylrich or Rohl, most Kohler products too.

A. Any rain shower will work with this system, providing there is enough water pressure for it.

Does the handheld shower head have a pause capability so you can shut off the flow temporarily? If not can you recommend one that does?

A. The Moen 8342 is does not have a pause function on the handshower itself, you can always add a shower arm diverter to allow such a feature. The standard diverter will allow you to pause it however.

Can I have the Moen 8342 installed and instead of the shower head, connect a kohler K-8030 water tile?

A. The Moen 8342 shower arm cannot fit a water tile on it. If you wish to remove the main showerhead function altogether and substitute a shower body spray function, you may do that. I hope this helps!
