Worked very well This product was easy to install and has added extra life to the faucets we have had for 10 years, but liked and did not want to replace the whole unit. June 17, 2011

Replacement parts Exactly what was needed! May 20, 2011

Easy installation Should have done this last year before it broke. The spacer washers and glide washers that come with the kit make the faucet feel like new again. Just a hint, use a rubber strap wrench on the handle body while holding the bottom with a set of chanel locks. The bottom ring holds onto the body of the faucet and will unscrew. It will work either way but you have to turn forever. September 10, 2010

97556 Moen Faucet Handle The Monticello faucet handles may look nice, but underneath it all is a poor design concept. I have four of these faucets throughout my house, and have had numerous problems with them over the years. Aside from an occassional leak, the worst problem is the handle become loose over time and the repair kit does not help. The "handle adapter" piece is made of plastic, which wears out very easily. Even worse, the "bearing washer" is a couple of mm too thin, allowing too much play in the handle. *Solution: Wrap some plumbers tape around the bearing washer before reassembly. This will allow a snug fit, and a tighter handle connection. Come on Moen, even a numb scull like me can figure this out! How about making the bearing washer a little larger in diameter for a proper fit?!! February 13, 2010

terrible parts I HAVE ALL MY FAUCETS AND HANDLES FROM MOEN WHICH I INHERITED WHEN I BOUGHT MY HOUSE. THEY KEEP LEAKING ALL THE TIME AND COST A LOT TO FIX. Moen Monticello is awful I have eight sets of Moen Monticello for which I paid $155.00 each. All have the same problem, the item called Handle Adapter, part # 97556 keeps cracking and breaking off. These have been replaced over and over. Take a tip and buy something else. It will save you a lot of cost and aggravation. October 26, 2009

Does the kit include left and right?

The Moen 97556 does come with both the hot and cold adapter pieces.
