Wall Supply Elbow with 1/2" Connection
Nipple Length Solution
Concur with other reviews re. the nipple length issue and getting it flush with the finished tile. There is a shower arm flange (Moen AT2199; $12.00) that worked great for me as the 2" nipple was too short and the 2.5" nipple was too long. It compresses to take up the slack which was nice and really looks good if not better than the elbow alone. As with other reviews, tightening it takes some thought as well. Moen should really re-engineer this one.

Difficult to work with
It was extremely difficult to flush this piece with the shower wall. There always was a large gap between the wall and the wall supply elbow, especially after the vacuum breaker was attached to it. We contacted Moen, and they said that the water pipes had to be perfectly perpendicular to the wall to make this piece lay flat against the wall because even a couple degrees off will create the gap. My husband ended up slightly bending the vertical portion of the water pipe because it would be too much trouble cutting off the pipes and welding them again. Now it looks right and nice. Make sure that your plumber knows what he is doing(ours did not, so after we fired him we had to figure out everything by ourselves).

Moen Wall Supply Elbow
I ordered this waterway connection and returned it. It was made well, but it just wouldn't cover the hole in the tile. I reordered the Aquabrass square waterway connection and love the look. I'd suggest square to round after looking at both. Don't be locked into one manufacturer for various parts. I have a Moen converter (which I would recommend another manufacturer as the diverter knobs stick way out from the plate), Hansgrophe triple function shower head and arm (LOVE LOVE LOVE This) and Aquabrass square waterway connection and rain shower (love these too). Even though I have three different brands..you'd never know it...so don't feel that you need to get locked into one manufacturer so everything matches :-)

Moen A725 Wall Supply Elbow
A required piece for the 4 function shower with slide bar. The oil rubbed bronze finish matches all the other Moen fixtures. The installation is simple.
However, you should be aware that the flange that goes against the tile wall is much smaller than a normal shower head flange. You should be aware of this when the tile is cut around the water supply line. My tile man made the cut too big and had to replace the tile. Moen should standardize the size of their flanges. The product looks great though.

Wall Supply Elbow - Satin Nickel
Worked well & matched well with my separatly purchased Moen Hand Shower.
This is a brass plated product, so make sure and use a brass nipple to connect to your copper water supply. Nipple length is a challange to estimate (I used a 1" for my application, which included travertine tile and hardy board interface). Be careful not to tweek the brass when tightening. Use Teflon on both sides, and I used a pipe connected to the output to tighten.

Nice but not worth it
This is a nice piece but it is not worth it. It's just a threaded angle fitting. It is overpriced.
There are better alternatives. Some two piece assemblies are better for positioning. Higher quality pieces can be purchased for less money.

I bought this because it was nice and simple looking but the install has not been so if you like your stuff to look nice and tight against the wall and not leak you better hope for the best. This required a nipple to connect it which the only nipples I found came in 1/2" incriments which one put it to far out from the wall and the other didn't tighten like i wanted it to

hand held shower flange
This looks a lot better than the fitting that would have just stuck out from the wall! It was a little tricky getting the right size nipple to make it flush with the wall but not diffcult. Looks great and the hose hangs off bottom and is a cleaner look!

Wall Supply Elbow
This piece needs to be provided with the shower assembly. If you buy a handheld shower you can't install it without this connector.

Make sure you leave room
Make sure you leave room for the piece to be spun when installing it. I almost put it too close to a raised tile trim piece.
