Does the top bar project further from the wall than the bottom and if so, what is that projection?

The Moen DN8322 top bar is closer to the wall than the bottom bar. The bottom bar is 5.21" from the wall. It is about an inch further from the wall than the top bar.

What is the horizontal distance between the two towel bars?

The distance between the bars is 4.2".

What is the projection of the bottom bar of the DN8322?

The Moen DN8322 Towel bar bottom bar projects 1.77" from the wall.

Are the bars connected securely in the wall support or can they jiggle in the supports?

The Moen DN8322 is going to be stable and secure when installed correctly.

Can this be cut to a shorter length?

The Moen DN8322 can be cut down, but yes it will void the warranty.
