The term Pressure Balanced in reference to Moen T2449 means that if the water pressure in the home changes the temperature of the water will stay the same within 3 degrees in either direction.
This means that if someone else in the home were to flush a toilet or start a water consuming appliance you will not be scalded.
The Moen T2449 in satine is their satin/brushed nickel.
Thanks for the question. The difference between the two trim kits is the valve to which they attach to. The T2449 is made to fit the single handle Posi-Temp rough in valve, while the T3129 is made to fit the Moentrol rough in valve.
The Moen T2449 is just the shower trim and tub wastes are not included with the trims, they are separate pieces and vary by the model of the tub you have. The Moen 90410 is a versatile piece that would be recommended, though.
The Moen T2449 does use the replacement cartridge 1222.
The Moen T2449 showerhead's diameter is 4-3/8".
The Moen T2449 does feature a washerless cartridge.
