nice moen monticello series this is a nice tub and shower moen product.easily installed as a replacement for older model. May 9, 2011

No plumber required I finally found the faucet to replace my 20+ year old Moen with this Moentrol unit. I did not realize until I got it installed that the handle is not flush with the escutcheon so it looks a bit awkward to me. It's a bit wobbly when you pull it out as a result. The best news is I didn't have to change the plumbing behind the tub and shower and it certainly looks much nicer than the acrylic knob basic model we had. January 5, 2011

Like this but... The backing to the hot/cold handle feels kinda like plastic, looks nice, but wished that was more substantial. November 12, 2010

Is it possible to use the Moen T3129 with the 145058 kit so as to allow use of the faucet on a standard valve?

The Moen T3129 can work with the 145058, and will work with a standard Moen valve.

What is the cartridge?

The Moen T3129 uses the Moen 1225 cartridge.

What does pressure balanced mean?

Pressure balanced is a term for the valve that would be used with this trim. A pressure balanced valve is a shower mixing valve that automatically maintains balance between hot and cold water supplies by immediately regulating fluctuations in pressure. As a result the outlet temperature remains constant.

What is the difference between this product and T2529 and T3129?

The Moen T3129 is pressure balanced and the T2529 is not.

what is the gpm and can the water pressure be control to less gpm and maintain temperature

The Moen T3129 has 4.5 GPM's. This will control your pressure and your temperature.

What's the difference in Moentrol and regular pressure balance?

The Moen T3129 moentrol is also pressure balanced and is the push-pull type. The posi-temp valve is also pressure balanced and is the type that rolls to turn water on.
