I have a house built in 1996 with a moen chateau faucet on a roman tub. I believe it has a valve with a 1248 cartriage in a 4999 valve. Will I need anything to make this work with the T943 eva?
A. I would suggest changing the valve out to a Moen 9000 which will be compatible with these faucets.
What is the distance from the middle of the faucet to where the water comes out?
A. The spout reach measures 8.5"
Does the Moen T943 require a separate drain kit?
A. The Moen T943 requires a rough in valve, Moen 4992 or Moen 4993, but as a Roman tub filler does not include a drain. The drain kit would depend on your tub and you would need to find a drain kit that would work with your tub.
I do not want the spout centered between the two handles. Is it possible to have both the hot and cold handles on the same side of the spout? If so, what is the maximum distance I can place them from the spout?
A. The Moen T943 will require the 4992 rough in valve and with this valve you can install the handles wherever you want.
I have a moen chateau roman tub faucet. Will this t943 work with the valves from the chateau?
A. The Moen T943 uses either valve 4992 or valve 4993. The Moen Chateau roman tub faucets use the same valves. They are compatible with one another.
what is a trim kit...... and how would i determine which one fits where my existing faucet is?
A. A trim kit refers to the ornate part of a plumbing fixture that is actually seen and touched by the user. The way you can tell if the Moen T943, or any faucet for that matter, will fit where your existing faucet is by the centers. What the 'center' measurement is, is the distance from the center of the left handle to the center of the right handle (basically the two outermost parts of the sink that will need drilling into the sink or counter top in order to make a connection with the water supply). For example the Moen t943 has multiple centers because the handles are not attached to the spout.
What is the bottom escutcheon of the faucet?
A. The Moen T943 doesnt come with a bottom escutcheon.
What is the flow rate on the T943
A. The Moen T943 has a flow rate of 19 Gallons Per Minute.
What is the maximum deck thickness allowed?
A. The maximum deck thickness for this is 1-1/8"
What's the distance from handle to handle?
A. The Moen T943 can be used as a 10,8 or nine inch spread depending on your needs.
With this or any 2 handle tub filler, must the levers be installed to either side of the faucet, or can faucet be on one side of tub and levers on the other?
A. The Moen T943 supply lines will not accommodate the handles being on the opposite side as the filler spout.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 4994 AND 4993. I AM REPLACING OLD FAUCET IN LARGE TUB.
A. The Moen T943 is a roman tub faucet trim that requires the 4993 rough in valve.
WHAT IS DEFFERENCE BETWEEN 4994 AND 4993, I NEED ONE OF THEM
A. For the Moen T943 Faucet, the Moen 4993 is a roman tub high flow rough-in valve (adjustable type), and the Moen 4994 is a roman tub valve designed with 1/2" push fit connections.
WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BUTWEEN 4992 AND 4993. I'M REPLACING FIXTURES
A. The Moen T943 is a roman tub faucet trim that requires either the 4993 rough in valve is the PEX connection or the 4992 is for copper to copper.

And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.
