What diverter is needed to add a handheld to this unit?
A. The Moen TS3112 could have a few different diverters valves that would work, but I would recommend the Moen T4171.
Does this come with a hand held?
A. The Moen TS3112 does not come with a handheld, however, there are plenty of handhelds that could be added to this system. Please do a search on our site for 'Moen Handhelds' for the available options.
sometimes a shower head like this doesnt provide enough pressue...can i install a differnt head if im not happy with the pressure?
A. The Moen TS3112 will allow you to install different shower heads if you do so choose.
Can the shower head be mounted from the ceiling?
A. The Moen TS3112 included shower can be mounted from the ceiling by purchasing a ceiling mounted shower arm. The particular shower warm included would be for wall mount installation only.
Can you add moen body sprays to this collection?
A. You can add body sprays (or any other type of outlet) to this system and there are a couple of options for doing so. You could buy this system as is and add [an] additional volume control(s) (model numbers TS514 trim, and S3600 rough valve) for the sprays (you could control all outlets or sprays w/one valve so they come on all together, or add controls for each spray or spray grouping) OR you could install a pressure balanced valve (TS310 trim and 2570 rough valve) to control the sprays entirely separate from the showerhead and valves. Personally I would use volume controls for a cleaner, less congested look. One thing to keep in mind though is that each port will produce about 2.5 gpm in flow. If you open say 4 ports (shower head and 3 sprays) you're using 10 gpm instead of 2.5 and therefore depleting your hot water supply at a much faster rate. It is suggested for custom showers to install a tankless water heater to avoid this problem.
What valve goes with this?
A. The Moen TS3112 needs to have both the S936 & S956 valves for installation.
