Wall Or Hand-Held Remote Control Kit for Converting Traditional Pull Chain Fans with Manual Reverse
Was looking for low profile - got it. Silent operation. Design is mostly OK, wish light could get brighter. Had electrician install it and he said it was very straightforward to assemble. Ordered the remote and it fit nicely into the former light switch. Overall, very pleased with the results. The only glitch was that it was initially on the same frequency as our bedroom fan remote, which resulted in a comedic moment where my youngest son was trying to turn on the playroom light and my husband was trying to turn off our bedroom light. Have to remove the fan to adjust the frequency - for future, this is something best checked before final installation!

This remote control is too expensive for what you get. We honestly just wanted a hand-held remote with a wall bracket to hold the remote when not in use. Monte Carlo doesn't offer that option. They charge extra for providing a remote wall trim to use in lieu of putting the remote into a hand held case. You can't even buy the wall bracket separately and this remote is an odd shape, so it won't fit into a standard bracket. When I called Monte Carlo, the customer service rep said that they used to make the wall bracket but discontinued it. I think this is the only company that sells a hand-held remote without a wall bracket.
I'm also not too thrilled with the design of the remote It's awkward to have the fan speeds in a circle; I would rather have separate buttons, one below the other, or at least have the OFF button separate.
Other than that, the installation was easy and the remote works well with the Monte Carlo fans we purchased.

The receiver part is cheap and big for a fan instillation. Then the remote light was defective after professional instillation. Looks are good and would have been great if it worked.
