Great Light We installed this in our foyer and it looks great. Wasn't sure if the shades would be golden when the lights weren't on, but they are more of an off-white/light tan. Shipment came quickly, and product was packaged well. November 20, 2010

The Murray Feiss F2531/8+4 has glass shades. Model only comes in color shown.

Is the top of the shade open or closed? What does the mount look like?

The Murray Feiss F2531/8+4 shades are open at the top. The canopy is a round plate to cover the electrical housing. It measures between 5-6" in diameter.
