Great Product
This product is amazing. It is very well made. I feel like this faucet will be around well after I am gone. Faucets Direct service was flawless... really.
I ordered the Newport Brass Air Gap (the air gap for the Newport Brass 106C) also. . It arrived with the faucet and was not as pictured on the website... it was better. The air gap that I got was not stand alone, as pictured. It replaces the base for the faucet, so you don't have to drill another hole in your granite. If you already have a hole, you may have to get a different air gap... or a soap dispenser...
I am very happy with the air gap I received. I have not installed it but it appears to be very high quality.

this was my second order from faucetdirect and both are perfect couldn't be happier and in fact I ordered on and once I got it I realized it was too large Faucet direct was great about excanging it for another ( I believe they would have been as great had it been a return but I needed an exchange)

Why do I need an air gap? I just purchased the Newport brass 106c. Should my plumber have told me about this need?
An air gap is usually only required if your building codes require you use one.

The Newport Brass 106C can be used with any standard filtration system. Newport Brass does not actually make one.
