Bathroom Fan with Light, 100 CFM, 3.5 Sones
Good light, fan option
We had to replace the previous light/fan combination, as the fan wasn't strong enough, and the bath was staying damp. I really wanted to find something compatible, so I would not have to re-fit the opening, dig out Sheetrock, etc. I called NuTone and asked them if this one was compatible, and they were very helpful. This was perfect -- it fit exactly into the same base unit as our previous light/fan combination (Also NuTone). I just plugged it in. THIS fan is much more powerful, and has been working great for the last few months.

Very good purchase
Very good product. Moves a lot of air and is not to noisy. Only problem is with instalation in a existing bath is the cutout in the ceiling it has to exact and i mean exact or the vent cutout will show just a bit after complete instalation. Very satisfied with the product and the service with direct venting.

This fan/light combo is super loud. I'm so sorry I put it in my bathroom. I remodeled two baths and used this one in the master bathroom. I used a Hunter in the guest bath and it's wonderful.
Don't buy this if you want to hear yourself think. It's about as loud as $25 fan.

It arrived with a small piece of plastic broken off the collar and was replaced within days. Once installed, it is a bit louder than our last one, but is super at removing the vapor from our new bathroom. We LOVE it and would highly recommend it. It is stylish and can match a variety of decors.

This is by far a very nisy fan. IF this was to be used in a bath only I would return it. However, it is in a laundry room and noise is not a big factor.

I installed this ventilation fan/light myself, replacing one of the same specs which had gotten too old to just replace the fan motor. I can tolerate the 3.5 zone level but not the excessive vibration and metal-to-metal rattling of the new device. I will need to muffle this with some kind of rubber or cork sound insulation material. Old model did not need this. Old model was not made in China. (It was that old.)

I read all the reviews before purchasing this fan. Most of the complaints were about the noise level. This is a powerful fan so my own opinion is that the amount of noise that the fan puts out is very exceptable. The most important thing to me is that it gets rid of the moisture, it surely does a great job at that. The unit seems to be very well made. Instructions were easy to understand so Installation was fairly simple. I do most of my home repairs and upgrades but I'm certainly not a professional.

The Newtone model 8664rp is the best round exhaust fan out in the market today, and it is the best value when buying from lighting direct.
Lighting direct has the best costumer service, and has extra fast shipping.

I had a really old Nutone heater / light in the bathroom, and I wanted something that would fit in the same opening without having to patch up the plaster ceiling. I had to replace the old housing, but this did the trick and it looks beautiful.

I had an electrician install the product wrong and the instructions were not much help. A you tube video was more informative.Dropping the glass lens to change a bulb or cleaning the lens is not easy.Spring clips that go up in the housing drop down to accomplish this. A screw in lens would be nice, and be sure to cut out the circular frame if you want it
flush mounted to the ceiling.
