Nutone 9417DN Bathroom Fan and Heater with 300 watt Bulb

Featuring 70 CFM and 3.5 Sones

All models provide silent, radiant warmth using 300W R-40 infrared heat lamps. The Nutone Bathroom Fan uses a 300 watt radiant bulb for ultimate heat. This includes a R-40 infrared heat lamp plus 70 CFM for ventilation up to 65 square feet. Adjustable socket for ceilings up to 1" thick. Adjustable hangar bars and features automatic reset for thermal protection.

Nutone Exhaust fan with light Looking at this after it was installed it is difficult to believe it is an exhaust fan.. All I see is a heat lamp. It does a great job of removing damp steamed air after a shower all while keeping me warm when I come out of the shower. A great product! The delivery and service from Faucet Direct was Outstanding! The NuTone 9417DN has several compatible controllers available which are sold separately. May be used with the following controls: Model 59W/V, 60-Minute Time Control Model 61W/V, 15-Minute Time Control Model 63W/V, 60-Minute Time Control w/ Toggle Switch Model 64W/V, Heater-Fan Control w/Off Delay Model 68W/V, Two-Function Control (Model 9417DN only)

Does this come with control or do I have to buy it seperately?

The NuTone 9417DN does not come with a control, it is intended to be wired to any standard wall switch.

Is there a switch on the unit to cut the heat off during the summer or do you have to run a double switch off the unit?

The NuTone 9417DN can be wired so that the fan and the heat bulb work on two different switches.

Can this heat lamp/fan be installed on a shower stall that is open at the top?

According to Nutone the 9417DN is not recommended to be right over a shower, which may cause corrosion.

Is this made for 120 volts or 240?

The NuTone 9417DN is a 120 volt fan/heater unit.

Can a regular light be used instead of a heat lamp?

The NuTone 9417DN requires a 300W R-40 infrared heat lamp to function properly.
