Very useful door chime It frees up wall space, allowing us to hang a picture in the space previously occupied by a 1950's style chime box. The sound is just as good as before, without the clutter January 12, 2010

do you have to use 16-volt transfomer with model la14wh

Yes, the NuTone LA14 does require and 16-Volt transformer and it is recommended that you use the NuTone C905.

How many wires do i need to run, and how many chimes can be hooked to one transformer?

The NuTone LA14 needs 2 wires and can have 1 chime for one transformer. thank you
