Features a powerful 110 CFM permanently lubricated and sealed motor that's specifically designed for continuous use applications.
Housing mounts to joists directly or via adjustable mounting brackets for greater installation flexibility.
An integrated humidity sensor automatically triggers the fan's highest CFM setting until humidity levels drop to acceptable levels, ensuring adequate ventilation and preventing harmful mildew or mold buildup.
Compatible with a number of Broan multi-function and time control wall switches (sold separately).
UL listed and suitable for use over bathtubs and showers when connected to a GFCI-protected branch circuit.
Sensaire®: Broan's humidity-sensing technology has been integrated into the design of this bath fan, making it ideal for areas that see prolonged or regular exposure to moisture. The sensor will automatically engage the fan's highest CFM setting once the user adjusted humidity level has been reached to quickly ventilate the area until the reading drops to acceptable levels. However, even when those levels are reached, the user can set the fan to remain on for an additional 5-60 minutes after humidity has stabilized. This feature helps ward off harmful mold or mildew growth and keeps the room clean, fresh and dry.

NuTone QTXEN110S Reviews

Simple to Install, Simple to Operate...SimpleI grew tired of fogged bathroom mirrors and windows, and the mold and mildew threat such clinging moisture encourages. The solution was the QTXEN110S Humidity Sensing Bathroom Fan. I recommend going with a 6-inch duct to maximize air flow. The only oddity I encountered was the way in which you activate the fan to exhaust odors; namely: flip the wall switch from ON to OFF, pause for a second or two, and then flip the switch from OFF back to ON. Even with the company?s suggested two-function switch, you still have to flip a switch back and forth. If they had invested an additional fifteen bucks in design and development, they could have offered a push-button solution that would have been more elegant for such a sophisticated unit. And, yes, I would have paid the extra fifteen bucks. That one issue aside, I am very satisfied with the unit?s humidity-sensing feature, near-silent operation, and efficiency.

Quiet, works wellThe fan is quiet, the humidity switch works well, the fan clears the room of steam, works well enough to buy another one for the house.

It Fully Meets ExpectationsThis is an excellent product - super quiet and very efficient. But it does need 6 inch ductwork and roof cap to function as intended. Using smaller size duct and roof cap is not recommended.

Excellent FanI bought a fan for the other bathroom from Costco because they tend to have great products for the price. But I was disappointed. It was pretty noisy and not very effective. So, I ordered this one for the second bath and couldn't be happier. I just hard-wired it in. It kicks on when it's needed and turns off when it's finished. I'm thinking of chucking out the other one, even though it's new, and replacing with one of these NuTone fans.

Good product at reasonable priceProduct arrived promptly in great condition. Contractor broke off a small piece while installing the fan, but the replacement part was easy to locate and inexpensive. Only reason I could not give 5 starts is because fan is not up and running yet, therefore, I cannot comment on performance.

Hi, my question is. Does this product require a wall switch? Is it possible to install and use the automatic sensor only? Thank you for your help.
A. The NuTone QTXEN110S is able to be hardwired as it has a built-in humidity sensor. However, the addition of the wall switch offers manual operation for odor control.
Concerning the auto sensing, if you have the switch turned "off", does it still kick in? Is it designed to essentially leave the switch turned "on" all of the time and it regulates itself when it is to be on / off?
A. The activation of the NuTone QTXEN110S all depends on how you wire it; you can wire the fixture so that the sensor stays live which will enable it to kick on when the heat gets to be enough or you can wire it to be manually switched off and on by the user.
Will the auto sensing fan work manually and as well detect. Or it's one or the other not both.
A. The NuTone QTXEN110S will work either manually or with the detector. You will need some type of switch for the manual use.
Does the NuTone require its own dedicated electrical line?
A. The NuTone QTXEN110S is going to need a power supply connected to a switch.
Does this unit use incadescent light bulbs?
A. The NuTone QTXEN110S does not have any lightbulbs, it is a fan only. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
