Single Cylinder Deadbolt Entry Set from the Stainless Steel Collection
I am a contractor and had a customer request this specific handle set to match one they already had (part of a larger renovation project). It is a nice looking handleset, and is definitely built with quality materials and workmanship. However, the online manuals were essentially non-existent, and the guidance shipped with the door was less helpful. They are extremely difficult to install and we had to hire a lock specialist to finish the job who, when we showed it to him, laughed and did not want to do it because he had worked with Omnia before. I am not sure if they are intentionally difficult to install and remove for security purposes, but I will be sure that none of my customers ever order Omnia again - and at about $450 total installation costs, that should not be difficult to steer the customer away.

Entry Door Handle
We are extremely pleased with the product but we would strongly caution you that when you recieve a lock set be 100% certain you have the correct parts. If you order a 2 3/4 inch back set be sure that is what you get. We had to contact Handle Sets for replacement parts and then the manufacturer to get the correct parts. It isn't really there fault because "part bins" do get messed up.

No Problems, High Quality
I bought one of these in spite of some of the reviews. I hired an experienced carpenter to install this handleset on a door with no precut holes. He said it was "easy, no problem." Having said that, it might not have been easy for a DIYer. It looks great and seems to be very high quality.

Not so pleased...
I purchased this handleset back in 2008-9 Just recently, the handle malfunctioned which is why I am here to find a replacement and to share my experience about my Omnia product.
I had problems both in the installation and now with a broken part in the handle. The handle is broken (barely can open the door) and it's fixed position as shifted to 6 and 12 o'clock, not good!
The handle was lightly used with minimal usage from two adults and we are very gentle with all of our household items, including how we handle and close our doors.
Now back to the beginning for the installation. I am normally patient when it comes time for reading instructions/manuals because I am not a professional installer but want to be thorough and get it right. Well, with this handleset, I actually had to hire someone to install it because the directions were very difficult to interpret and the tolerances were too difficult to maintain. For example, the plate was just barely wider than the bore hole for the handle. Also, even the installer that I hired needed much more time than he normally would take to install a handle which was frustrating for him as well.
While I like Omnia's 'modern' designs, I think I will try a different brand for my replacement handleset.
