Ostberg 613 CFM Circular In-Line Duct Fan with Backward Curved Impeller and 8" Duct from the CK Series
The CK is an in-line centrifugal duct fan with high capacity and excellent reliability. The straight through radial fan is compact and very easy to install. It can cope with high pressure and long duct runs, whilst still operating at acceptable sound levels. The CK range of fans have casings manufactured from galvanized steel and are moisture resistant. They are approved for installation in humid or damp environments being rated IP44 when installed in a duct system. The fan speed can be controlled by voltage variation regulators. Several fans can be connected to the same controller providing the total rating of the controller is not exceeded. The motors are an external rotor type asynchrony motor. They have maintenance free sealed ball bearings and are protected from over heating by thermo contacts. The fans must not be used for transporting grinding dust, soot or similar.
Ostberg is one of the leading manufacturers of in-line duct fans with its head office and manufacturing facility based in Avesta Sweden. All CA Ostberg fans are manufactured from the best quality components and prior to dispatch every fan is tested and the results are computer stored for future reference. Ostberg is a company you can rely on today and in the future.

quality and performanceI am a fluid dynamics engineer, and this product surpsised me for its quality and very low vibration. The impeller is balanced in test after manufacture in 3D with little clips of differing mass at both front and rear face. At full voltage you do need to have a backpressure, such as a long run of 8" or some duct bends, to avoid "howl" from excessive air velocity. 8" model too powerful for only one 6"x10" register, so slowed it down to 67% of AC voltage with rheostat. Starts fine at very reduced voltage. Plan to split duct to more registers upstairs. Best to use to "push" air rather than for suction. Use insulated flex duct at both suction and discharge to minimize noise. Tried many fans an this is much quieter proportional to the air flow than anything else. All metal design means should tolerate 140degF inlet temperature from furnace duct, but waiting for winter to try before permanent installation. Will need to find flex that tolerates furnace temperatures up to 140degF and duct cleaning air whips.

Great FanI installed 2 CK8C at a customer's auto shop and couldn't believe the power. These fans exhuast the fumes from paint quickly and you can't hear them at all. I recommend these for the price over anything else.

Great fanI bought this fan for my woodshop in the basement. I would be sanding and then there was a thick cloud all over. I put one of these above my suspended ceiling and branched it off into 3 ceiling register vents.
i clears the room of dust in no time. I vents outside the house. I do know not to leave it on unless needed. It sucks all the heat out too. Very quiet also. Need to buy another for my smoking room in my home also.
