Is the 32.125" measurement from the widest part?

Yes, the Progress Lighting P2745 measures 32 1/8" at it's widest (from the edge of the top of the far left shade to edge of the top of the far right one).

Is the glass frosted or opaque? I'm wondering if there are any "hot spots" when the lights are on? (Really bright areas that hurt to look at). Thank you.

When mounted with bulbs facing down are CFL bulbs visible below the bottom level of the shades?
