What should be the spread of light for a night-lighted pathway? For a night-lighted driveway?

The Progress Lighting P5257 will only have a spread of 5 feet around.

Please tell me how I can order replacement seeded glass globes for this lighting fixture, P5257-20. My kids keep breaking the glass with their balls!

The Progress Lighting P5257's replacement glass part number is 051112.

Is it possible to get an extension for the stem to insert between the top and bottom sections for a taller mounting?

The Progress Lighting P5257 unfortunately does not have a stem kit available.
