Great alternative to tired old wall sconces
The house I recently bought had old, heavily-weathered "brass" wall sconces on the front porch, and on both sides of the garage. I've always like the understated effect of downlights, so I replaced the garage wall sconces with these (in architectural bronze). There isn't much to these, and they are very easy to install.
If you want light to be broadcasted anywhere other than down, obviously don't get these. For this reason, I decided to purchase a different style of wall sconce for the front porch, as I like to be able to see who's at my front door.

looking for this light w/floresent bulb
The Progress Lighting P5674 can take a base up and enclosed fixture florescence bulb. They have not been tested with screw in florescence bulb. Progress Lighting recommends an incandescent.
Does this piece have an "on and off" switch on the actual light, or does it only operate with the light switch on the wall that controls main light in the room?
The Progress Lighting P5674 requires being hardwired into the wall. It does not have a switch on it.
Is the "Antique Bronze" on P5674 (single light) the same color as the "Bronze" on the P5675 (up/down light) ??
The Progress Lighting P5674 has the same Bronze finish on both. I hope this helps!
Is the P5674 "closed" on top for outside use? I only want "down" lighting.
The Progress Lighting P5674 is designed for outdoor use and is closed on the top for "wet" use approval.
Will these fit and cover a 4" round pan box
The Progress Lighting P5674 is designed to mount directly to a junction box and the back plate will completely cover a 4" box.
