If this heat/light cannot be installed over shower, where can it be installed in the bathroom?
A. The issue here is the UL rating. This fixture is rated for a "damp" location, which would be the bathroom in general. Over the shower would be considered a "wet" location due to the constant moisture and humidity. Most customers install this just outside their shower enclosure so it heats upon entry and exit.
What is the maximum wattage this can take?
A. The Progress Lighting P6952TG takes a 250 watt maximum blub.
What protects the bulb from a splash of water?
A. Thank you for your question. The Progress Lighting P6952TG is UL listed for damp locations so it is not necessarily designed to have water directly splashed onto it. The bulb itself fits flush against the trim so that water will not leak into the housing of the fixture.
Can this be safely used inside a shower stall even though its only damp rated instead of wet rated?
A. The Progress Lighting P6952TG is not recommended for use within a shower stall. It can however be installed in damp locations, meaning you could install it in the bathroom.

Is there more detail on installation?

What are the installation requirements for the P6952TG in an insulated ceiling?

Why don't we show the price?
Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.
To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.
Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
