Fantastic Keyless Deadbolt
My wife and I ordered 2 of these for our new house, and we love them. The keypad work's great and is extremely easy to use.
Installation was a little tricky at first because the deadbolt hole in our doors wasn't big enough, so I had to cut the hole to be much larger. But once that was done installation was super easy. I'm guessing most people would have a normal size hole in their door and wouldn't have to deal with cutting.

I love this entry lock
I love this entry lock. What a great invention.... no more struggling to find the keys when you have your hands full of things. It works so well and was very easy to install.
It is great when you are going to go for a walk or bike ride....you don't need to have all those keys in your pocket.
When other family members needs to get in they don't have to worry about bringing the key along.......it's just a few little punches and they are in.
I would recommend this to everyone.

Well worth the peace of mind
It is amazing how much safer I feel, no longer wondering if all of the doors are locked before retiring to bed at night. It locks automatically. However, with a turn of the lever, the locking mechanism can be turned off if I plan to be coming in and out of the door often.
I didn't realize, before purchasing this, that you can add lots of entry codes, not just 1 or 2, and it is easy to do. So if I need to let someone into my house during the day, I can program a code in and then erase the code when it is no longer needed. Or I can set up a code before going on vacation, and give it to a neighbor in case of emergency. I can also add a code that my mother will remember, just in case she needs to get in, so she won't have to remember OUR code, but her own number.
It is VERY quiet, but when the door closes, you hear the deadbolt slide into place. Kind of a swishing noice. That noice, to me, is music to my ears. If I don't hear it, I know that I have turned it off and need to turn it back on.
No more house keys to lose. Now if I can figure out how to stop losing my eye glasses, life will be perfect.

No Key Needed !
No more lost front door keys or rushing home to meet contractors, or visiting friends & family with my my new electronic front door lock. Electronic lock holds up to 19 different 4 digit codes that can be easily added or deleted. It took a few tries to learn how to program the lock, the instructions were not exactly seamless, but love it now that I learned how to use it. Contractor said installation was not hard. Best prices on product, extensive product line, and fast shipping; what more could I ask?

a great lock
for 2 + years I have had this lock on my front door and the bateries are still original. my wife loves it because it lights up at night to see the numbers and she needs no keys. My neighbor is getting one.

Best Lock
I love this lock-the keypad lights up when you press a button so it is no problem seeing the numbers at night. Our family no longer has to worry about locking our keys in the house with the keyless entry. It is a very sturdy lock. We had a keypad entry before and the numbers wore off after a while-this one is so much better. We just love it.

Exactly what I need
This is exactly what I needed. Easy to install and setup. It matches the Satin finish of my other hardware. It would be nice if they have a low profile design. My storm door handle is toughing the keypad.

Ordering separate finishes from exterior to interior is possible. Ordering like this is called "Split Finish". This is a special order situation that would require an over the phone order. This would also be special order from the manufacturer and the lead time may vary. Please contact custoemr service at 888-649-0865 if you need a split finish item.
Do you have to put your codes in again after you change the battery ?
The Schlage BE365-CAM will still keep your codes. Replacing the battery will not erase anything.
All of my doors have the same key. How would I get this lock to use my existing key?
The Schlage BE365-CAM is going to be able to be keyed alike with the 5 digit key code on your key. A locksmith will also be able to let you know the code if it is not on the key.
Can this unit be used on an exterior gate? If not is there one that can?
The Schlage BE365-CAM would be fine for your exterior gate. They have been weather tested.
how do you change key code
The Schlage BE365-CAM is able to be rekeyed by manipulating the pins on the keyway. A special kit is required to do this with all non-smart key locks, meaning it would be best to take it to the locksmith.
I ordered this lock for my new home and the instructions to set the lock combination and work it were lost. Can I get another instruction booklet?
The technical instructions can be provided by Schlage directly.
Can the BE365-CAM be install on either a right or left hand door?
The Schlage BE365-CAM is reversible and can be installed on either a right or left handed door. When preparing for installation the instuctions will inform you how to switch the handing. In short, the latch can be rotated to face either direction. You will need to make sure you have the correct side of the latch facing up though. There is marking on the latch to help you know which side needs to be facing up.
Can the thumb turn be replaced by a keyed cylinder on the inside?
The Schlage BE365-CAM is only designed as a single cylinder.
If I already have a Schlage deadbolt installed, what else will I have to do to the door to install this electronic lock?
This will fit the same standard bore hole size a 2 1/8" diameter, same adjustable backset and door thickness. The old deadbolt will need to be removed starting from the screws on the interior side, then the electronic dead bolt will be able to be installed in its place. It does not have any additional installation requirements and no wiring required.
Is the keypad lighted or illuminated?
Yes, the keypad on the Schlage BE365-CAM does illuminate once you push any button from the exterior side of the lock.
What are the overall dimensions of this deadbolt? I need to make sure that it will fit above my current lever. More importantly what is the distance from the middle of the cylinder (or dead blot thumb latch) to the bottom of the face plate?
The Schlage BE365-CAM has an overall height of 5.426" and an overall width of 3.172". The measurement from the center of cylinder to the bottom of the unit is 2.0". The is depth is 2.186"
