Plymouth Single Dummy Door Knob 4.7 5 5 9

Nice Knobs I liked the size of these doorknobs and the finish. I am using them on both sides of small French Doors (24" width) that have a catch lock at the top. They are not so big that they overwhelm the door. I haven't installed them yet. I do have one concern and that is the size of the screws for attachement. Just two small screws and the doors are masonite MDF. If we get a lot of folk yanking on the door, will the knobs stay on? Time will tell. I suspect that I can line them up and put a screw through both sides of the doors if necessary May 14, 2010

I couldn't find these anywhere After looking all over my town, I ordered these online. I was so relieved to find these since I had already changed all of the doorknobs in my house. I had no idea it would be so hard to find the dummy knobs. I will order again! December 21, 2009

Are they the same size as all standard door knobs? I am replacing brass for bronze and need to have it fit the same diamiter.

Yes, the Schlage F170-PLY will fit a standard bore hole size of 2 1/8" diameter. The knob will be a common size as well.

Do these knobs attach from the the back or the front of the knob? Can you put a knob on either side of the same door? or does the screw go all the way through?

This item will be surface mounted. The screw will not go all the way throught the door. You are able to mount a dummy knob on each side of the door.

How wide is this door knob?

The Schlage F170-PLY has a knob width of 2.1" and a housing width of 2.8".
