Orbit Privacy Door Knob Set from the F-Series

This Schlage Orbit Knobset is typically used on Bedroom and Bathroom doors where locking from the inside of the room is needed but you do not need to lock the door from the exterior of the room.
Interior screws are exposed
Both knobs locked/unlocked by push button inside
Can be unlocked from outside with emergency key that is included with your purchase.
Turning inside knob unlocks outside: this is known as a Panic Proof Function.
This Door knob set is compatible with Right and Left handed doors.
Adjustable Backset 2-3/8" or 2-3/4"
Unit is non handed and is field reversible.
Faceplates (Part 16-080): Supplied with 1/4" Round Corner and Drive-In Faceplates
Strike Plates (Part 10-027): Supplied with a Round Strike with Dimensions of 2-1/4" x 1-5/8"

Is the set all metal?

The Schlage F40-ORB will be all metal.

Can you use the same lock for bedroom and bathroom doors?

This Schlage F40-ORB is actually recommended for use on Bedroom and Bathroom doors by the manufacturer. The way it works is you can lock the knobset from the interior side in order to keep un-wanted guests out of the room. There is an emergency key included with purchase which can be used to unlock the knob set from the exterior in the case of an emergency. For example: I have used this emergency key when a child lock himself in the restroom.

If i order a dual colored knobset- one side Polished Chrome the other side Polished Brass, is it possible to choose which color is the side with the lock?

Out of the finishes listed, the polished brass x polished chrome item would have the brass on the exterior and the chrome on the interior. You are able to special order a different finish. You will need to call in to order. The lead time can be up to 6 weeks.
