Is the lock bump resistant?

The Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO is bump resistant.

Do you need to chissel to install this?

The Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO requires that the door be drilled with the specifications found in this installation guide:

can this be put on a gate? can both sides resist weather?

You can put this on a gate. And yes, both sides a weather proof.

Can you set this lock to not automatically lock?

The Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO does not auto lock.

Does this set illuminate?

The Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO's keypad does illuminate.

Is this lock for the right or left side of the door?

The Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO does not specify handing. Since it is a knob it can be used on a left or right handed door.

We have a concern with the electronic keys on the exterior showing a "wear pattern" with time.

We have not heard anyone have a problem with that on the Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO. If you notice this happening though we would recommend that you change the passcode. For security it is recommend that you change the passcode at least once or twice a year, which would minimize wear patterns.

We have double entry doors. Is there a dummy handle, knob, and deadbolt available in this model?

The Schlage FE365-CAM-GEO: You would need F93 handle and deadbolt.
