Very good lock I received the unit and it was easy to install and works great. The only critic I have is that you cannot program in your own codes into the unit. Other than that I is a great way to use a lock for a door. February 1, 2011

Solid Purchase Product came partially assembled, was relatively easy to set up and operates well. I like that the door stays locked all the time and everyone in the family has access without fumbling for keys. The kids love it. Still too early to judge battery life or whether changing batteries will be a pain. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. September 16, 2010

Outstanding Build and Ease Installation took me about 10 minutes including programming. It looks so elegant and the blue backlit buttons are awesome in the dark! Very happy with this product. Now my door to the house from my garage is always locked when my garage is open. June 1, 2010

Keyless Affordable Easy The Schlage FE575 works better than I hoped for. First it was a great price value. Not too hard to install for not very handy me. Just read the directions and had to think once or twice, but it was installed in less than 30 minutes (replaced another lock - not a virgin installation). Programming and operation are a dream. Prgrammed multiple numbers to allow a neighbor to access when we are away. ALos have a code for the cleaning lady. Replace the old key lock when we fired the last cleaning lady and did not retrieve the key. This makes key control a non-issue. For the price you cannot beat this lock. Aslo it looks good on the door and it not too large. August 18, 2009

What is the overall width of this unit? I have a frame 1½" from center.

I am replacing a keyed lock on a garage entry door. Is there a way to have this unit keyed to match my other entry doors?

If you get your key code we can get this keyed to match your existing doors. Your local locksmith can help you determine this if you do not know what it is. Thank you.

Is there a battery that needs replacing if the keypad and auto lock features do not work anymore?

Yes, the Schlage FE575-PLY-PLY require a battery replacement from time to time.

Can I use this on an outside door?

The Schlage FE575-PLY-PLY is made for an exterior door.

Can we change the combo # any time, by our self?
