Combination entry locks- no more keys!! These are the right locks for those who leave and enter often and do not want to have to use the combination every time- the caveat is that you have to remember to manually lock the door. Other models lock automatically. I have both kinds and they are fantastic! battery life is great, it has been well over 1 year and I have not changed the batteries. I have these on all of my doors, including my cabin and parents and inlaws. They can also be keyed alike. Also can set temporary passcodes. Great product- you will not be dissapointed! I am enjoying my handle sets with keypads from your company. I am a woman, 76 years old and I was able to install all 4 by myself. They work good and there is no need to carry a key then look for it to get into the house with my hands full. I feel more secure living alone, and they work great!!!!!! Thanks very much. The Schlage FE595-PLY-JAZ can be used as an exterior lock on a door to a building with no heat.

Can you rekey this model to use the same key as the rest of the Schlage locks in my house? If not, does Schlage make such a keypad lock without a deadbolt?

The Schlage FE595-PLY-JAZ can be ordered to match the key you have. You will need to know your key code. If you don't, you can take the lock to have it keyed like the key you have once you receive it.
