The Sea Gull Lighting 6024 hangs by chain so it will be able to be installed on a sloping ceiling.

Can it be used outdoors in a covered area?

The Sea Gull Lighting 6024 is UL Listed for Dry locations only. The manufacturer does not recommend using this item outdoors. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Thank you.
