BEAUTIFUL LIGHTS
GREAT EXPERIENCE AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY 2 NEW ENTRANCE LIGHTS. I CHOSE WELL AND JUST THRILLED AT HOW SPECTACULAR THEY LOOK.

Polished Brass Doesn't Hold Up
This is the second time I've replaced this fixture. The fixture is sound and without any electrical problem, and looks great when new. It's just that the polished brass finish doesn't hold up to the atmosphere, acid rain or whatever degrades the finish over time. If you like the appearance of the polished brass finish, then you have to be willing to replace it about every seven or eight years. Otherwise perhaps you should select a different finish. I've been told that UV protected wax should help it to last but who has time to wax their light fixtures? The fixture looks great and I'll be back again in about seven years to replace it along with the matching fixtures beside the garage door.

If I purchased Sea Gull Williamsburg 8468 also in black for near my garage will the finishes match?
The Sea Gull Lighting 8040 does come in black which is a universal finish between brands.
Does the antique bronze have brass or gold features to it or is it a true bronze
The Sea Gull Lighting 8040 in antique bronze is a true bronze it doesn't have any of the bright, shiny gold tone features that the polished brass has, its more of a muted bronze color than gold.
What finish would be the most durable outside, with minimal or no tarnishing?

Is the bottom open? We have a wasp problem.
