Transitional Single Light Down Lighting Outdoor Wall Sconce 5 5 1 2

Higher Wattage Ok, this is just a simple light, however, with recessed lights all over the ceiling of a new garage, I wanted a light by the entry door that would be handy to reach and change a bulb in...one that would also provide decent light. This fixture is the only "jar" light on the market with a higher wattage than most. Jar lights are great for inside a garage where a bare bulb could be hit and broken by a ladder or shovel handle, etc.. This type of light could be use in multiples on an exterior with a marine influenced design, or even a contemporary/modern styled home. This has a matte, slightly rough, black finish that should be easy to keep clean and touch-up paint when necessary. November 22, 2010

Can I put a filament bulb in this light...will that give it a cool look? More vintagey?

The Sea Gull Lighting 8550 can have a filament bulb added. I do believe it would give you a vintage look.
