Wireless Remote Wall Mount Fireplace Timer System with LCD Display
This thermostat rocks,
I love it because first of all it is wireless and I have a cat that likes to attack wires so not having to have a wire go from your terminal where the thermostat is attached to the actual thermostat itself is a big plus for me.
Secondly this thermostat is very sensitive which is great because I have it hooked up to a pellet stove and the minute the thermostat registers about 3 degrees below where it is actually set it will instantaneously literally turn back on the stove without delay.
So at least for my St. Croix pellet stove which supports millivolt thermostats this works hand in glove with it.
I did have to cut off the preattached connectors that came with this thermostat as my pellet stove does not have this type of interface but rather more like a speaker terminal so I simply cut the ends and stripped some plastic coating, twisted the wires together and stuck them in the stoves terminal turned the stove onto smarttat (the feature for auotmatically controlling the ignition process via a thermostat) and it worked flawlessly.
So thank You for making an excellent thermostat.
Note if you are using this with a pellet stove or similiar product that uses a speaker wire type terminal don't worry about cutting off the ends and stripping some of the plastic coating away it won't hurt things. I was a little leary doing this since I paid about $160 for this thermostat and was afraid if this didn't pan out that my warrany would have been voided for cutting the ends that initially came on this wire but I took the risk and was glad I did.
The only thing I would wish is that the receiver could somehow be designed in such a way where as it would not be necessary to cut a whole in your sheetrock or drywall in order to allow the receiver to sit flush in the wall with the face plate on but really this is minor issue when thinking of what this thermostat can do and its reliability. In fact I understand it may be hard if not impossible to create such a design for the receiver but the actually wall mount for the thermostat itself does not require cutting into a wall to fit flush so I am still extremely satisfied so thank you, thank you, and thank you again.
