Good Product, some problemsThe product is good, two speeds, good airflow but there is an small engineering defect in the cover that encases the electrical connection. The bosses that hold the cover screws are weak and can strip or break quite easily. Other than that, good product.

Excellent, versatile, vent fanI installed this fine, quiet fan to move hot & cold air from my basement to my converted screen porch, which is now a 4 season Florida room. I was going to put it the foundation wall, but used plan B, drilled out a 4in hole, put the fan in a wood box, air flow is excellent, the fan is quiet, only 37 watts, and I can just turn either the motor around, or the box it's in to reverse the flow. Saves me from expensive electrical heating and cooling costs. Just connected it to a timer to come on 30 minutes every 2hrs .Problem solved!

good productVery quiet , since the fan is not right above your head . Seems relatively powerful for the vent size. Easy to install . The wiring instructions are not very clear in the manual . I eventually figured it out , but they need better pictures and details . There is a speed control module in the wiring box that they just dont explain how it is utilized very well . (not being an electrician) . Overall , very happy with this fan .

Soler and Palau KIT-100X in-line fan.I bought this for a powder room on the first floor of our midcentury modern. I installed in with the intake in the powder room (the design was perfect and fit in nicely) and the fan was installed within a cabinet in the adjacent room. I used a wireless switch to provide power and connected the wires so that the highest speed was used. Doing retro fits in a 1959 modern can be a challenge, mainly because the materials of construction were meant to last a very long time. The fan runs quietly and reliably. I love it

I live in Florida and our attic temps get really hot. Is this fan able to with stand high attic temps? I don't know what it is in reality but it gets really hot up there!
A. Yes, the Soler and Palau KIT-TD100X is definitely built to withstand high teperatures in attics. That's what these are built for!
Can it be mounted vertical or at any angle ?
A. The Soler and Palau KIT-TD100X can, according the their installation instructions, "be mounted in any orientation, horizontal or vertical [including angles], and is suitable for numerous types of applications".
What do you use for the visable collection point? Are these only for use to replace a regular motor and face plate that has quit working. I have a Nutone 13'' circlar with light that is doa. I could connect this to the housing but the housing is all rusty and I would prefer to replace the whole unit but with the inline motor as they draw more air.
A. This is a full kit including the In-Line Fan, Housing, Grill, and Exhaust plate.
