4"/100MM Inline Mixed Flow Duct Fan
I like this product
This replaced a traditional fan/light fixture that we had installed in our recent bathroom remodel. That fixture was noisy, the flapper rattled and the fan didn't exhaust all that well.
I found this after doing an extensive internet search. It cost less than the fan/light fixture, is much quieter, and does an excellent job of air circulation. Very easy to install too.
At one point I had a question regarding the installation which I emailed to Venting Direct. Their response came quickly and they were very helpful.

I've had one of these installed in my bathroom exhaust for the last 3 years without a single problem, didn't even need to open it for maintenance (even though they're designed around easy maintenance, it just didn't need it!) and so when it came time to redo the exhaust on my kids bathroom there wasn't a doubt in my mind.
Great product, great reliability, incredibly quiet for how much air it moves.

Quiet and easy to install
The TD-100 was easy to install and is very quiet. There is hardly any noise. The unit did fail recently, but Lighting Showplace and the manufacturer quickly replaced it. Their customer service just added to the enjoyment of the system.
Our old bathroom fan stopped working, so I bought this based on other reviews. I installed it in the attic in line with the existing exhaust duct. Left the old fan in place and moved the electric to the TD-100 unit. It is really quiet and moves air better than our old fan. It costs less than other bathroom fans, and has a longer warrantee.

I used the TD 100 in a vertical orientation to vent a composting toilet. Works very well, quiet and powerful for it's size. Does not install easily into a pvc pipe run. Required using some drainage pipe as a solid tight fitting connector. Also, there is very little difference between the high and low speeds.

This is a great bathroom exhaust fan. It is extremely quiet and does a good job of venting our 5' x 12' master bath.
Installation of the fan itself was a breeze and my only suggestion is for someone to manufacture a direct replacement ceiling fan duct box with a 4 inch fitting. Since the existing fan was in such bad shape, I had to custom build a ceiling box to transition to the fan.

Where was this B4?
I could have used this fan in so many projects but I didn't know about it and neither did any of the local supply houses. I needed a way to vent a sink/dishwasher pump pit yet was not bulky. This is easy to install and does the trick on the low speed. The mounting is easy and you don't get harmonics like you can from other manufacturers and types. Customer is completely satisfied!

Not a bad fan......but
As they say in the ad, this motor is thermally protected. However the thermo-protection is a fuse that cannot be reset. So, if the motor overheats as mine did and causes the fuse to blow, you can throw the motor in the garbage since the fuse is not replaceable either.
Also, I would not mount this motor horizontally if the motor is going to be subjected to temperatures below 32 degrees since the condensation will settle in the motor and freeze the fan blade to the motor housing causing the motor to overheat, thereby blowing the thermally protected fuse and turning the TD 100 into an expensive paper weight.
In addition, I would not use the flexible plastic vent hose (as I did) with this fan for more than a couple of feet as it cuts down the CFMs of the fan dramatically. I would use the 4" straight metal vent pipe instead.
On the plus side, it is reasonably priced, light weight and quiet. I believe it will work reliably if mounted in the vertical position to allow the condensation to drain from the motor housing and used with 4" metal exhaust ducts. Hope this helps.

Fan is much to small actually about as big as a miniature football. Definetly does not move as much cfm as it says. I am a big fan of soler palau fans i have purchased numerous td-150's which are the best on the market. But the td-100 is much to small and not very powerful.

exactly what i was looking for
I am contractor and was looking for a product i could use to replace the existing bath fan without removing the existing fan. I installed this in the attic and used the old fan housing as an intake. No damage to the ceiling and a much quieter end result.

excellent product and service
The service was expeditious and efficient from start to finish. I have had the product (fan) for about 2 months and it, thus far, is everything that it promised to be!
Five stars all the way around for service and procuct.
