United States Stove BEC95 Reviews

Not very happyI bought the Ashley wood circulator in the fall of 2011. We had a mild winter last year so I did not use the stove that much. But this year we are using it constantly. The draft opening for the thermostat is to close to the front of the stove, I think it should be more in the center for an equal burn. With the new holes in the wood loading door and the ash door the air intake causes the wood load to burn faster up front causing you to have to even out the coals from back to front to reload the stove. Plus the wood box between the wood loading door and the ash door has bowed inward due to the increased heat from the new holes. Now both doors have gaps between the door and the wood box.
I owned an Ashley Wood Circulator prior to this one and it lasted me thirty years. I dont think this one will last another year.

How big does the room needto be to safely install the heater- we were thinking about putting it in our laundry room. Also, how far does it have to be from the walls(back and side walls?) How safe are these heaters as far as allergens for kids and if a kid touched it? Thanks
