Velux TMF - 014 - 1000 Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! We were having a new roof, complete tear off, put on, and decided to put a Sun Tunnel in a dark hallway connecting 2 back bedrooms, and the 2nd bath. I cut the hole in the roof, and ceiling. The installers set the flashing base. Easy install, other than the directions being a bit vague. It's like having a different room in the house, and we keep flipping the light switches to turn the lights off!

  • What is the percentage of light reduction in the flexible sun tunnel compared to the rigid tunnel?

    A. The rigid tunnel is going to be much more effective than the flexible tunnel for the Velux TMF - 014 - 1000 and all other sun tunnels. With the 10" diameter rigid tunnel, you can get up to 200 square feet of area lit. With the 14" diameter rigid, you can get 200-325 square feet lit. With the 14" diameter flexible tunnel, you can get up to 150 square feet of area lit. With the 21" flexible, you can get 150-325 square feet lit. Keep in mind that the longer the amount of tunnel, the less area will be lit, especially with the flexible tunnel.
