Can these be hardwired to switch?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 can be hardwired.
Can these lights be linked together with something other than itself, to run through a cabinet above a microwave? that way they can all be on the same power supply and switch.
Thank you for your question! Yes this can be done by joiner cables. The cables come in 3, 6, 12 and 72" Sections and there cuttable.
Can you combine these with the 2in type sections?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 can connect to the smaller InvisiLED lines.
Hello - we are searching for lighting for a built-in china cabinet. Would this item be appropriate? How bright is it?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 is recommended for the China cabinet. It is 2 watts per foot.
How many do I need for a 50" cabinet?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 has fixed male and female connectors on each end. Requires a minimum run length of 5 feet, and are limited to a maximum run of 25 feet per 60W Class 2 power supply. This means you will need qty 50 of the runs and qty 2 of the power feeds.
Can a dimmer be used as the switch?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 is unable to be dimmed by any noticeable amount using a dimmer.
Can the 12" length stand only or does it need to be 5' total length?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 can be 12 inches. Nothing smaller.
What transformer would you suggest for three of these strips?
Thank you for your question! The transformer can be a plug in part # EN-1260-p-ar-p or a hard wired part # en-1260-rb2-p transformer.
Can I use these as interior lighting for adjoining book and display cabinets? I would like to run them through holes and the tops of the cabinets and run the plug/transformer cord down the space between cabinets.
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 would work very well for that kind of lighting set up, yes. They are only a 1/8" tall.
Can these strips be used under a curved counter?
Yes, The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 can be used under a curved counter.
Can you use this system for a 12" under cabinet lighting or do you have to have 5' runs minimum?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 minimum is 12".
Is the WAC lighting LED-T-1 energy Star certified and UL listed?
The LED-T-1 is energy star rated, but as far as UL listed, they're not rated for wet or damp locations.
Where are additional connectors/power sources for this item?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 will require a plug in transformer.
To closly match the color of a 20watt halogen bulb, would that be the Amber or the White?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 in Amber will put off more of a orange colored light as opposed to the white which will be a bright white. If you really don't like the strong bright white light then I would elect to go for the Amber colored lights. Neither will really mirror a halogen light as these are LED.
To get to a lenghth of 2 feet do I need a connector between the (qty 2) 1 foot pieces?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 will actually connect to one another so as long as you are running a straight line you will not need additional connectors (one end of these is a female connection & the other is a male.)
Does this unit require a housing?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 is a strip light, it does not need housing.
What transformer do I need?
The WAC Lighting LED-T-1 can use a plug-in transformer EN-1260-P-AR or the EN-1260-RB2 hard-wire transformer.
