Love this
I feel like we installed an indestructible dinosaur under our sink. It will eat anything, but it is so quiet for the size/power. The downside is that it is BIG and uses up much more room than the old disposer. But it is easy to install and will not jam.

What is the difference between batch batch and continuous feed, what is 3-BTM
The Waste King L-8000 is a continuous feed which means it will continuously take food with the switch on and shred it. The batch feed works the same as it is just different in how it turns on; the batch turns on by a stopper that activates a switch that turns on the disposal.
Will an extended disposal flange (the Rohl ISE10082 Extended Flange, for example) work for this disposal unit?
The Waste King L-8000 is compatible with the flange as long as the opening size, 3.5" is the same.
Does this model come with a flange?
The Waste King L-8000 does come with a disposer flange.
What is the difference between the Waste King L- 8000 and the L-9980?
The Waste King L-8000 includes an "Easy Mount" system for installation, while the Waste King L-9980 includes a High-End 3-BMT mounting system, which provides quieter operation.
What is the finish on the flange?
The Waste King L-8000 flange has a silver finish.
What is the finish on the flange...a brushed stainless, polished stainless, matte stainless? What sink drainer/flange for the other sink would match this flange?
The Waste King L-8000 will come with a standard polished chrome disposal flange.
What is the warranty on the L8000? The Manufacturer Warranty link shows a SS 8000 but not an L8000.
